Editor settings
What this covers
Section titled “What this covers”This section describes all the configurable settings available in the 3D scene editor. The editor opens when you click into a project from the Project Manager and is where you shape how your 3D scene looks, behaves, and appears to visitors.
How the editor is organized
Section titled “How the editor is organized”The editor is split into tabs, each covering a distinct aspect of the showcase:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Summary | A readiness checklist. Shows which steps are complete and which still need attention before the showcase can be deployed. |
| Appearance | Controls for the camera, background, and lighting. |
| Interaction | Controls for how visitors navigate and explore the scene. |
| Animations | Controls for how named animation tracks from the scene file play in the showcase. |
| UI & Metadata | Controls for viewer buttons and branding, plus the project description and preview photo. |
Summary tab
Section titled “Summary tab”The Summary tab gives a at-a-glance overview of the project’s readiness to deploy. Each item in the checklist corresponds to a step that is either complete or still pending:
- 3D scene — required. A 3D scene file must be uploaded before anything else.
- Appearance — optional, but recommended. Marks as ready once you have visited the Appearance tab and confirmed the settings.
- HDR — shown when ambient lighting is enabled but no HDR environment image has been uploaded yet.
- Interaction — optional, but recommended. Marks as ready once you have visited the Interaction tab and confirmed the settings.
- Animations — shown only when the scene contains named animations. Marks as ready once you have visited the Animations tab.
- Description — optional. Marks as ready once a description has been entered.
- Preview photo — required. The showcase cannot be deployed without a preview photo.
Items that are missing but required are highlighted in red. Items that are optional but not yet configured are shown as warnings. Once all required items are complete, the Set up showcase button becomes active.
