UI & Metadata settings

This page describes every setting in the UI & Metadata tab of the 3D scene editor. Use this tab to configure what controls are visible in the showcase, set a description, and manage the preview photo used for link previews and the loading screen.

PropertyDescription
AutorunWhen enabled, the 3D scene starts loading as soon as a visitor opens the showcase. When disabled, visitors see a prompt and must tap or click to begin. Disabling autorun is useful for pages where visitors may not intend to interact with the 3D scene.

These settings show or hide individual controls in the showcase UI.

A text description of the project. When Show description in UI is enabled, this text is displayed inside the viewer as an overlay panel. It is also embedded in the showcase page’s HTML for link previews and search engine indexing.

A screenshot image used in two places:

  • As the loading screen shown while the 3D scene is being downloaded and initialized.
  • As the Open Graph image embedded in the showcase page, so that the photo appears when the link is shared on social media or in messaging apps.

Use Take photo to capture a screenshot directly from the current viewport. If a photo already exists, Take new photo replaces it.
